India Visa passport photo size & rules
The Indian e-Visa and paper visa applications processed through IVAC and BLS require a square photograph in the American style. The accepted size is 51x51mm, equal to 600x600 pixels at 600 dpi. For the online Indian e-Visa portal, you upload a square JPEG, while paper applications submitted at an Indian Visa Application Centre require a matching printed photo pasted on the form. The image must be recent and clearly show your face.
India visa photos need a plain white or light background with the full face visible and centred in the frame. Look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, keep both eyes open, and make sure the head is centred with adequate margin around it. Remove hats and caps, avoid shadows on the face or background, and do not wear tinted glasses. The e-Visa system rejects images that are blurred, too dark, cropped incorrectly, or that fail the square aspect ratio, so accurate dimensions matter for a smooth submission.
Pixohub creates your India visa photo fully in your browser with no upload, so your image stays private on your device, and the tool is free to use. Indian visa photo standards on the e-Visa portal and at IVAC can be updated, so always verify the current official India visa photo requirements on the Indian government e-Visa website or with IVAC before you submit.
